Learnstride is published by Flavio Trapier, a sole proprietor based in France. Contact contact@learnstride.pro for data requests. The service is designed for people aged 16 and over.
Account and profile
The service processes your email address, technical account identifier, information needed to sign in, age confirmation and chosen display name. A profile photo is optional. Apple or Google provides the information authorised when you sign in.
Account information enables the requested access and helps secure the service. Your display name and photo may be visible to authorised community members under the access rules. The current registration flow does not require a phone number.
Study materials and backups
Courses, exams, schedules, cards, sessions and the mistake notebook are mainly stored on your device, separately for each account. Their contents are not automatically uploaded to the publisher.
An online backup is a voluntary upload. The current version keeps up to three copies per account, each limited to 5 MB; a fourth replaces the oldest. Application access to these copies is private, but they are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorised infrastructure operators can technically access them.
Community content
Creating or joining a community involves processing memberships, roles, posts, replies, resource requests, invitations and moderation actions. Visibility depends on the community and your permissions.
A presence signal supports online member counts; online status is based on activity received within the last 90 seconds. Precise location is not used to establish presence. Do not publish other people’s private information.
Optional AI processing
When you accept the transfer and request generation, your selected passage is sent to OpenAI for moderation, counting and generation. A pseudonymised safety identifier may accompany the request; your email address is not added to the prompt. Avoid names, contact details and sensitive data in passages.
The Learnstride server temporarily keeps the result and its quotations for recovery for approximately 24 hours, with periodic cleanup. Counters and technical metadata are separate from that content. Saving cards in your study area preserves your copy beyond this window.
Requests use the API with response storage disabled. This does not guarantee zero retention by OpenAI: its safety controls may retain data under its terms. API data is not used to train its models by default.
Subscriptions
Apple processes payment. Learnstride does not collect your card number. RevenueCat and our server use account and transaction identifiers, products, dates and subscription status to verify access and allowances. Apple displays the price and payment methods.
Purposes and legal bases
Providing your account, chosen features and subscriptions is based on performing the requested service. Security, abuse prevention and moderation rely on the publisher’s legitimate interests, subject to your rights. Accounting and legal requirements provide a separate basis when applicable.
Optional features are initiated by your choice. The app requests consent to transfer an AI passage before sending it. You can decline future processing while continuing to use manual study tools.
Providers and locations
Supabase provides authentication, database and storage services; the main project is hosted in Frankfurt. OVHcloud provides domain email. Apple and Google are involved according to your sign-in method; Apple and RevenueCat support purchases; OpenAI is involved only for AI tasks you initiate.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Depending on the provider and destination, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in the applicable agreements. You can ask us for details or a copy of the relevant safeguards.
Retention and deletion
Local copies remain until deleted or device app data is cleared. Active accounts, content and backups remain necessary while you use the service or choose to keep them. AI results follow the window described above.
Deleting an account removes active personal copies covered by the service and removes the contents of your posts through the deletion mechanism. Technical references and anonymised elements may remain to preserve conversations and prevent purchase reassignment. Exported copies or copies held by others are not erased remotely.
Routine support correspondence is kept for up to 12 months after a request is closed. Records needed to meet a legal obligation or handle a dispute are kept separately for the period required by law or by the case. Infrastructure logs and recovery copies follow the retention window of the hosting service in use. Recovery copies are held to restore service after an incident and expire when that window rolls over.
Technical purchase references are kept where verification is still necessary to prevent duplicate linking or resolve a dispute. Quota counters help verify usage and prevent duplicate processing.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or, where applicable, portability and objection to processing. Email contact@learnstride.pro with your request without sending identity documents unsolicited. Proportionate identity verification may be needed.
You may also complain to the CNIL or the competent supervisory authority where you live. The service does not make automated educational decisions producing legal effects.
Advertising and privacy
In iPhone versions where ads are enabled, Learnstride uses Google AdMob to request non-personalised ads after a study review for free accounts. Learnstride does not attach your study content or account identifier to the ad request.
Google may process IP addresses, device or instance identifiers, diagnostics, ads shown and interactions with those ads. This information may be used to deliver and measure ads, keep the SDK working and prevent abuse. Retention by Google depends on the type of data and its purpose.
Google UMP collects your advertising choices. When consent is required, you can decline and still use the study tools. In Learnstride settings, you can review your advertising choices or turn off ads for the session. The device stores an attempt time and a session reference locally to limit frequency.
